Location: Kotido, Karamoja, Uganda
Nomadic Camel Rearing is a sustainable livestock initiative designed to thrive in the dry lands of Kotido. Camels are naturally adapted to harsh climates, and this project ensures continuous food production, income, and resilience for pastoral communities even during prolonged droughts.
Our herd has survived extreme weather, demonstrating the strength and adaptability of indigenous camel breeds. The project also preserves traditional nomadic knowledge while introducing climate-smart livestock practices.
